My Practice

In my counseling practice I have experience with a variety of approaches and I strive to address the unique and particular needs of each person. The foundation of my approach is a client-centered focus characterized by presence, deep listening, and positive regard. With these conditions as the groundwork clients are invited to explore and expand the range of possibilities of their life. At it’s best this work is a collaborative conversation where you will be invited to reflect on the particular dilemmas that arise in your life and relationships and, with support, co-construct the changes that you seek. When therapy is successful you will experience a greater sense of wellbeing, effectiveness and integration within yourself and your relationships. This frequently translates into feelings of freedom, personal power and aliveness.

I bring to counseling a number of influences including various models of individual and relationship therapies, Sex therapy, Body Psychotherapy, hypnosis, Yoga and meditation practices, and Buddhist psychology. I am also informed by current understandings of brain development and attachment throughout the life span.
